You could say i learned this from getting a good many bumps and bruises over the years, it's like learning how to drive - would you put your 6 year old behind the wheel and say, "OKIE DOKIE KIDO, OFF YOU GO!"
No sir, you wouldn't.
What you will do, is guide him, love him, give him a few scoldings along the way, and keep an eye on him, no matter how big he gets.
If he gets outs line, you'll talk to him, explain to him whats the right thing to do - if he really gets outa line and won't hear you, you'll ground him, take away the car keys, demote him from CEO to floor manager and finally, send an earthquake, tsunami, and explode a volcano...
Life is one big test - we are all chess pieces on the big board of life - we all choose where we move, lets not be fooled into thinking we've moved right, but really, we're not hearing, and have moved left.
